I looked like this.



Yes it was a rainy , sultry day in the deep south city of Mobile, Alabama when two
nervous college students decided take a huge leap and wed.
I was terrified. I had seen my parents and most of their friends go through bitter
divorces. So IMHO marriage was a losers game. But somehow he convinced me that
we would be okay. And dammed if he wasn't right.

My sister got married in 1976. Her colors were orange and mint green.

The shoes were orangeish stacked heel slingbacks.

The heels were covered in a basket weave as I recall.

It was not easy looking good in the 70s but you guys don't look too bad! Congrats! I am so thrilled to hear you are still together.

I have moved beyond the 70's shame now.
But I am grateful that I didn't have strange feathered
hair. We were both considered good looking at the time *g*

Yes I made my dress and the Bridesmaids too.
It was all done on the extreme cheap, as we were
starving students at the time.

I think the flowers cost more than anything else.
