You like The Scarlet Pimpernel? I freakin' LOVE that musical! I've never seen it performed, but I own both the concept CD and the Broadway cast. I'm not a fan of Linda Eder's voice, but the rest of the cast makes up for it. In listening to the sheet music, I discovered that all of Margeritte's songs are actually very beautiful when sung without Eder's over-abundent verbratto.

Veronica Mars is also awesome, and BSG, Firefly, and Farscape all go without saying. I like your interests! *g*

I like The Scarlet Pimpernel in all it's incarnations.
I have the books, the movies, both the miniseries versions.
And I worked with the touring company of the musical.
Marguerite was sung by Elizabeth Ward in that group
and she was ( and is ) divine.

How could I forget the books! I only read the first one, but I loved it. I'm a sucker for all things French Revolution. I blame Les Mis. Yes, Les Mis is set in 1832, but it ties in with the French Revolution. It's actually based on insurrections after the Revolution. 1820 I think? I'm a nerd.

Marguerite! That's how you spell it! (I was too lazy to look it up.) Once I was able to seperate my concept of the character from Linda Eder's voice, I really liked the character. I'm glad Elizabeth Ward was wonderful. I'd love to see a production of it someday. (And being the greedy actor I am. I'd love to BE in a production of it someday! *g*)

The Scarlet Pimpernel reminds me of Les Mis in it's sound. It's that epic sort of musical. It's just gorgeous music. I don't think there's a single song I don't adore.

The fact that you worked with the touring company has now made you even cooler in my eyes. How are you so awesome? *g*

I didn't know there was movies or miniseries! I see trips to the library in my future. The idea of a miniseries is particularly tempting because then you can get MORE story. I'm always greedy when it comes to stories. *g*

Jane Seymore and Ian McKellon? Sold! I'll have to check out that miniseries too. It's decently recent. Hopefully recent enough to not be dreadful. (Lets be honest. Some of the miniseries that came out in the 80's are just horrible.)

Yep, I'll definitely be making a trip to the library soon. *g* Thanks!

Hello there, new friend! I see we have quite a lot in common. Hooray for Dorothy Sayers! And I love the Scarlet Pimpernel too. I remember we read the story in class and watched the movie afterwards, and I like every incarnation as well. :)

The dogs are the most adorable things. I love that head-tilted collie with his ears up.

I have not seen Firefly but I've noticed that many people on my flist love it...I'll have to check it out.

Thanks for sharing!
