The new year is remarkably like the old one.
2006 was , on a person level, pretty uneventful.
It was the usual cycle of work , travel and occasional
fun stuff. I was quite happy to take a breather from the big dramas
of '05.

I know that was not the case with many on my little friends list.
Let's just all wish each other good health , happiness and
better times .

The things that have amazed or amused me lately.

The 501st Legion march in the Rose Bowl Parade. There is a fun slide show
here
I have marched with a number of these guys in the Dragon con Parade and they are a hoot.

I have obtained the first season of Dexter. After just one episode I am knocked
back hard by the glorious fuckedupness. Keep tuned for further reaction.

I bought a new coat in NY. But I have had little chance to wear it as the
weather is freakishly warm here. There was pine sap on my car thursday!
And things are trying to bloom.

I have been working very little at the theater. The show is a co-production
so the cast , set and costumes have all arrived. But we have little to do
until it all get onstage.

But it has has a website. Check this out! But be aware, there is music. That's right it's another stage show based on a hit movie
of days gone by. I will reserve judgement until I have at least seen a run through .
But I will say that some of the costumes are pimptastic indeed.

I need to sign off to take advantage of this very rare weekend off.

Cheers!

Oooh, I have Dexter as well, though I have not watched it yet. I'm a wee bit apprehensive, given the blurb that was on IMDB (I know nothing else about it)... O_o

I'll have to give it a try and LYK what I think.
