Well the fun just marches on.

We have a dog back from surgery.
( Thank god she came through it like a champ. )
The poor thing looks like a doofus in her collar.

Roofers pounding away above us. At least they
pound until they the thunder and lighting chase
them down by about 4 PM each afternoon.

And on a far more serious note.

My step dad had his first
major incident today. He stopped breathing for a few minutes.
So now the hospice nurses are going to 24 hour coverage.
And they are pulling him off all meds but morphine.
It could be hours or weeks but the final stage is here.
This has been almost a year in coming so we are as
prepared as we can be. But all I can feel today is a kind
of relief . When he came back he said " it was so peaceful"
I hope that he finds that peace soon.

Meanwhile I'm going to look around me and enjoy the little
amusements that my life offers.
