I'm "on hiatus" till the last week of August.
This means that my life is all my own for 7
fabulous weeks.
I began my first day of freedom sleeping till 2 pm.

But really , I can't sleep through storms any more
since the tree branch roof piercing incident 3 years
back. So I , and the dogs, spent Sunday night listening to the
dregs of Dennis blow and flood. ( my husband slept through
it all ) My family and friends
, both local, and on the Gulf coast are all okay.

I have been spending far too much time on the BBC web
site the past few days. The Russell Square area of London
is my usual stomping grounds when I visit. We usually go
over at least once a year . It is even more frightening to see
a photo of the blown up bus on a street that you know. But ,
of course , all my friends there took it in stride in their usual
low key manner. I'm pleased and proud to know them.

I am now going to learn more about my new DVR machine.
Like how to use it. I have some goodies on there I want to learn to
play with.
