Oct. 11th, 2005 06:43 pmI have not written lately about work because it has been
boring in the extreme.
I spent 4 weeks working on Tick, Tick, Boom.
And it didn't even become interesting till the last 5 days when
two out of three understudies went on. Yes there was drama, both
on stage AND off.
Now I've begun working at the Shakespeare Festival. This is the first
time that I have been available for the Fall show. This year it is
Romeo & Juliet. This a striped down and simple version. The primary
audience is school children. So 4 days a week I am now forced to be up
at 6:45 AM! This is so I can wake up and make it to the theater by 8:30
for a 10:00 show time. The only good thing about it is that I'm out the
door by 2:00. So every day by 3 back home and taking a nap.
I have a "Brand New" Old ipod ! I made a usual at purchase at iTunes. When
I tried to load them on to good old Moya , I got a nasty window informing me that
my software was too old and it wasn't going to update .
After loading the most current updates from Apple , still no success.
So I called up my local Apple store. The kid who answered the phone was just as confused as I was. But he was kind enough to ask the guys over at the Genius
Bar . All I had to do was restore the settings. So now my little friend has snazzy
new skills AND all my music is now safely contained in it's tiny little innards.
Damn good customer service for a 2 and a half old piece of technology.
Apple still rules.
I had great birthday. Dinner out with shoe shopping. My hubby is one of very
rare guys who likes to shop as much as I do. I also replaced my dead watch
with a new bargain from Overstock.com . Good times all around.
