My poor Luna did not make it.
Every one involved put up a heroic
effort . But we were never able to get the
seizures under control. It became clear to all of us
that this was a brain tumor . And every time she
went under that further damage was being done .

So we were forced to tough it out and let her go.
I did actually have her home for a few hours, so
at least she didn't have to spend her last hours
in a cage at the vets. This all went down it the
very early hours Monday morning.

It has taken me these last two days just to compose
myself enough to write.

Having said all this, I am very lucky to have the
great escape of this place . Fanfiction is a beautiful
distraction and I have utilized it the past two days.

But , guess what , next week I have the last remaining
dog scheduled to be spayed !!! Can't say the gods don't have
a twisted sense of humor. It's a good thing I have a fully
developed sense of the absurd , and a deep trust in my
vet.
