yeah I'm stll alive
Oct. 11th, 2004 08:31 pmLast week was very eventful . First, Tuesday was my birthday.
One of those that ends in a zero. The ones that made you stop and
take stock of your life.
( getting older )
My co-workers threw me a little party after the show with cake , candles and a
little balloon drop. It was very thoughtful. And really rather fun.
We have a lot going on most nights just getting the show up and running.
But his week we had extra excitement. We had a 11 am high school matinee.
We DESPISE these . We work nights for a reason. We are almost
uniformly night people. The sun burns our delicate little eyes.
So 30 plus lethargic unhappy folks do not a happy work place make.
It also adds one more show to the 8 we already do in week.
It's just insult to injury. Fatigue takes it toll.
So it comes as no surprise that one of our dancers , while rushing off stage
ran into a lighting instrument and cracked his head. It was scary. The poor thing really clocked himself good. There was lots 'o blood. I know because it falls in to my job description to minister to the injured. The stage manager and I had to sit him down and access the damage while trying to remain calm. We both kind of took one look and knew he needed stitches. But it took till the end of the show to convince him. So between the afternoon and evening shows she had to take him down the street to the local hospital emergency room for treatment. We have ONE more 9 show week till this show's run is over. We are counting the days, hours, and minutes.
I have many ambitious plans this week.
Talk to the contractor about the future dream kitchen.
Upgrade the operating system to my computer.
Write out the Rygelthon story currently residing in my head.
And FINAllY start the project I am doing for

Wish me luck!
