I am watching the track of hurricane Ivan with special interest
tonight . My mother , step dad , brother , sister and their families
are all in Mobile , Alabama and it 's sixty miles off shore .
On it's current track it will go right up Mobile Bay.

This is the nightmare scenario. The only thing that makes me able to cope
is that they all all in stable houses miles away from open water.
But since I am over 400 miles away all I can do is watch CNN and fret.

I was shocked and pleased to hear from my sister this afternoon.
It seems that all my family came through the hurricane with selves & houses
intact. Can't beat that!

They cancelled the show tonight due to tornado
warnings and very heavy rains. This is very rare , and even more so
this time because of the whole " world Premiere" hype.
But , after the crazy hours we have been working , we couldn't
get ourselves out the doors fast enough.

But since I got home we have had nothing but regular
rain and a little wind here and there.
I even still have power. So this is really like a little expected
treat for me. I'm going to kick back , watch the tube and work on my
ficathon story .

Life tonight , is pretty damn good.
