My life has been a blur since Labor day.

It started with DragonCon and ended with the trip back home
for the funeral. I think that is the factor . My whole family
was living this specter for so long that it is hard not to see it
still hovering over your shoulder.

It was very hard to go home to Mobile and see the damage
there. I usually open my car windows once I reach
the bayous so I can smell the salt water. But now the smell is
fetid and moldy. The centuries old oaks are alive but ripped up
and sad. And every other house has a tarp on the roof.
My mom had three trees come down on two of the out buildings.
But the memorial service was quite lovely. And my mother is
holding up very well . We are lucky really.

I am so glad that fall is finally showing it's self here.
Maybe the temps in the 70's will stay. I feel that my year
begins in the fall . It does actually. My birthday was on the
5th. We went out to dinner and I bought myself a new watch
to replace the one that died on the trip home. ( spooky huh ? )

I am also back into TV watching mode.

I am glad to slip back into my old favorites.
CSI and Without a Trace give me the subtle soap opera
and crime solving that actually helps me relax and sleep.

Alias is really on the cusp with me . I'm not sure if I'm
going to last the season.
I am very much in love with Veronica Mars. This weeks episode
hooked me hard. I love the more subtle angst they are using at present.

On the DVD front, I have purchased all 4 seasons of Due South.
I found out that the first 3 seasons were on sale in a super cheap
release on Best Buy! So I no longer have to haunt Ebay and torture
myself. I had no idea how much I missed this how till I started watching it again.
It helps me get through the long months without Battlestar .

I am having thinky thoughts about my Scorpius Ficathon assignment .
If I can come up with a solution this weekend , all will be well

I must sign off and read my rapidly expanding friends list now.
