In Hell......

It's just past 12 midnight and the temperature outside is 84 degrees.
I haven't felt this kind of heat since I left Oklahoma. And it's not letting up.
We are smashing all kinds of records here with triple digits.
I was driving around doing the errands today and the outside temp
was 103. It's insane.

I have one week left on contract. Then it's 4 weeks of leisure.
This year that includes Dragon Con.

I have been preparing for months. I have about 8 hours of work
left on my 2 costumes. I am missing a little alteration work, a quickie blouse and a holster. My friend and I are going to finish it all up on next Tuesday.
I'm determined to enjoy myself this year.
This is MY vacation. And I don't even have to leave town.

The husband is away and I have been mainlining TV,
Saving Grace , Burn Notice and Season 1 of Rome.
I also bought The Dresden Files and will be cracking that one open
by Sunday. I have to study it . I signed up for a panel at DC that involves
it and Blood Ties as examples of works adapted from the page to the screen.

But I have to cut back tomorrow, there is sewing to do and a house to be
cleaned.
