I am no longer a Hockey virgin
Mar. 17th, 2004 03:32 pmWell the SO and I went to our first hockey game.
We set this up weeks ago with a friend who is a complete
hockey expert. We saw the Thrashers *BEAT* the Hurricanes
on Monday. Thanks to our bud, we had a rundown on the rules so following the
action was easy. We came early to watch the warm ups. So we got a good look at the players. One of the "enforcers" came out complete with a big bloody gash
across his face. Psychological warfare at it's best.
Of course, a lot of the fun comes from watching the fans. They really DO get all worked up when a fight breaks out. The highlight of the night was very drunk
young guy who lost his balance several rows above us. He literaly came body surfing down the seat backs and across our row. My husband and our friend grabbed him to stop his fall. Other wise the guy could have just gone right over the the balcony. It was wild!
So, I can highly recommend it to one and all! It was big fun all around.
